The Family Volunteers conduct free remedial
educational classes of the former child laborers at
Hamro Ghar. We donate regularly: Educational supplies,
medicine, food staples, clothing, shoes, and play equipment.
Throughout the year, volunteers from The
Family visit Shishu Bika Kendra, a school for the mentally
challenged, and Jyoti Kendra, a day care center for
babies of poor working mothers in Pokhara, the second
largest city in Nepal. We provide them with free educational
audio/visual materials, and give personal care and attention
to the children.
This village school in rural Nepal had
virtually no books or teaching aids for the students.
FVS sponsors one teacher's salary and donates reference
books and school supplies for the children.
